Yaquina Art Gallery Spotlight features Vern Bartley and Giselle Zaborski, nature photographers, from June 10 – June 23

YAA Spotlight

Local artists Vern Bartley and Giselle Zaborski will share a two week spotlight show at Yaquina Art Association Gallery from June 10 – June 23.

Bartley has invested much of his life behind the camera and is masterful with landscape photography. Vern Bartley began studying photography before high school, worked as a staff photographer for community newspapers, operated a portrait study, captured aerial photos, and kept taking pictures even when serving for years as a firefighter and air ambulance coordinator. His work now focuses on outdoor landscapes which he sometimes enhances with gels and techniques that drawn special attention to the image. Bartley continues to operate a studio in Newport from which he offers classes.

Giselle Zaborski has used locations where she lived and places she has traveled in the western United States to capture outdoor scenes that span the seasons.

Each one is drawn to the intense beauty of our central Oregon coast which is reflected in the work on display. Both artists live in Lincoln County and see the ocean or Yaquina Bay daily.

The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 5 pm every day.
