Yaquina Art Gallery Spotlight Wall Show featuring the artwork of Linda Radcliiff – November 12th to December 2nd

YAA Spotlight

In a two-week Spotlight Pedestal Show from November 12th to December 2nd, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of Linda Radcliff. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 4 pm every day.

Linda Radcliff is a native Californian and raised the first 10 years in the MidWest, before returning to the Bay Area.  She graduated Richmond Union High School, and started working immediately, then married and started raising her own family.   She has always been involved in crafts of one kind or another.

Linda says: The years have passed and we all grow up and older!  I am now soon to be 77 years and have just celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary with my loving husband Jim Radcliff . I have two wonderful adult children by my first marriage, Monica and Jeff Arellano. They have always been the light of my life. When Jim & I married, we blended our families and I became the step mother of his three children James, Matthew and Rebecca. The “Brady Bunch” we were not!  Aunt Alice never did show up to clean the house or have dinners ready!  But somehow, we all survived with five teens in the household!   They are now busy providing and raising their own families and have given us eight precious and beautiful grandchildren, (in birth order) Amanda, Amber Kent , Jamie Lee, Ericka Radcliff, Jacob Tondro, Jeffrey Arata, Kodi Ziegler and Samuel Tondro.  All living in various locations, from Oregon to Texas.   We are also blessed to have nine great granddaughters .

Jim and I retired and moved to Newport in 2004.  We are loving retirement !!   I have always dabbled in the Arts and Crafts and entered many Craft Shows, in California and now Oregon.   Didn’t want to go back to work, so I found a place to volunteer,  The Yaquina Art Association in Nye Beach is wonderful and I have made many new acquaintances there.    There I decided to make and sell my Bath Salts, Shell Magnets, Agate Cairns and various other small items for the Gift Shop.   As the years have progressed, I am attempting to get into Acrylic Painting and Alcohol Inks, since I can’t draw a stick figure, I can do this .  I have also joined the Photography Club and hope to get much better with my photos.   I consider myself a beginner at best.  This gives me things to keep busy with.  Other hobbies include Gardening, and Genealogy.
