Yaquina Art Gallery Spotlight Wall Show featuring the artwork of Sandra McCourry – October 15th to October 28th

In a two-week Spotlight Wall Show from October 15th to October 28th, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of Sandra McCourry. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 4 pm every day.  

Sandra McCourry is a Mixed Water Media Artist of abstracted nature scenes and other abstracts as well as encaustic work. She allows her intuitive experiences and emotions to dictate her colors and designs. Her works are rendered on many layers of pigment using a wide variety of materials. She is a workshop instructor at Emerald Art Center in Springfield Oregon.

For the last 15 years, Sandra has traveled extensively to such places as Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, China, Malaysia, Bali, Africa and Europe. These diverse cultures of art have greatly influenced Sandra’s experimental Passions to express abstract in a wide variety of ways and textures, symbols and different paint surfaces.

Sandra has always had her own individual style, during the past seven years she has had the opportunity to study under many well-known art instructors such as Pat Dews, Carole Barns, Pat San Soucie, Carla O’Conner and the Intensive Studies Seminar in Taos, New Mexico.

She has been part of Yaquina Art Association for the past 10 Years and has taken many of their free classes. This show brings together many different pieces from Sandra’s collective work through the years.
