Yaquina Art Gallery Wall Spotlight Show featuring the artwork of Lila Passarelli and photographer Laren Woolley–August 18th to August 31st

YAA Spotlight

In a two week Wall Spotlight Show from August 18th to August 31st, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of Lila Passarelli and photographer Laren Woolley. The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 5 pm every day.

Artist Lila Passarelli will have a variety of paintings in her show: animals, flowers, landscapes, and perhaps a seascape in this year’s show. Lila has been a member of Yaquina Art Association since 1977.

Lila has worked with many mediums over the years: oils, watercolors, pastels, colored pencils, pen & ink, and for the last 30 years encaustic (hot wax painting) artwork.

These days, she now concentrates on oils and encaustic, with a bit of pencil to keep in practice.

Photographer Laren Woolley loves living and desires to capture our world in all its wonder and glory.  He desires that his photographs tell a story and he always seeks to find the unique and the awe-inspiring.  His goal is to produce images that make people pause, enjoy, and say “wow”!  His passion is to be out in the natural wonders of this world and to capture new and exciting work.  Each day is a new opportunity.

Laren and his wife, and fellow photographer, JerriLynn have lived in Newport, Oregon for over 15 years and they have loved every minute of being part of the Newport community.  This home base has helped to produce within them a love of the environment, and its protection, and a passion for capturing images that display the magic and beauty that it produces.  Come and see what is new!  Laren is active in the local Yaquina Art Association, YAA Photographers as well as the Artists Studio Association and Artist’s Co-op Gallery in Lincoln City. His website is www.oregoncoastphotography.com.
