Yaquina Art Gallery Pedestal Spotlight Show featuring the artwork of Lila Passarelli–August 11th to August 24th

YAA Spotlight

In a two week Pedestal Spotlight Show from August 11th to August 24th, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of Lila Passarelli . The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 5 pm every day.

Lila Passarelli will be showing her many greeting cards and small drawings for her pedestal show. Her main display will be of her encaustic (hot wax) paintings.

Lila has been making her greeting cards for many years and has added a few experiments of her own. All her cards are original, and always will be. She calls them all “happy accidents”.

Encaustic artists usually use beeswax, and add colors and other additions to the works. Lila uses Crayola crayons. She calls it “the poor man’s encaustic”.

If anyone would like to learn some of the fun of encaustic painting, Lila gives lessons at her studio. She charges $40 for 4 hours of fun instruction, and you get to take home some new artwork that will brighten your home. Call 541-563-4263 if you are interested.

Lila has been a member of Yaquina Art Association since 1977.
