Yaquina Art Gallery Wall Spotlight Show featuring the artwork of Janice Kobow and Penny Billinger–August 4th to August 17th

YAA Spotlight

In a two week Wall Spotlight Show from August 4th to August 17th, the Yaquina Art Association will be featuring the artwork of Janice Kobow and Penny Billinger . The Yaquina Art Association Gallery is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 5 pm every day.

Janice Kobow studied fine art at the University of South Dakota and oil painting with artist Kathy Stewart in Siletz, Oregon. She moved to Oregon in 2001 and became a member of the Yaquina Art Association in 2002. Janice has enjoyed the privilege of learning from and growing with the many talented artists of YAA.

Kobow looks at her artwork as being impressionistic realism. Everyone is invited to meet and talk with Janice when she is staffing at the Yaquina Art Association Gallery on Friday, August 10th.

Penny Billinger’s artwork reflects her love of many hues and textures found in our Pacific Northwest coastal environment. Animals and plants oftentimes provide forms for her photography and multimedia work.

Her Spotlight show will feature artwork that will be made mostly of recycled materials and found objects.  She collects some of her materials from the sea and the woods.
