YAA Spotlight

JerriLynn Woolley, Janice Kobow and Linda Roggenburg will have their artwork on sale at a two week spotlight show in the Yaquina Art Association Gallery in Nye Beach from August 19 through Sept 2, 2016. This non profit gallery is open from 11 am to 5 pm daily at 789 NW Beach Drive in Newport and shows the artwork of local artists.

Old cars, boats and barns always “call” to photographer JerriLynn Woolley of Oregon Coast Photography,  feeling like she is capturing a bit of history and helping tell their story of a period back in time.  JerriLyhnn will be displaying many coastal pictures as well.  She will be displaying photographs infused into aluminum,  printed on canvas , and matted and framed.  JerriLynn loves hiking and traveling and is seldom without her camera.  She loves capturing images in fog as well as that beautiful morning or evening light.  See more of her work at www.oregoncoastphotography.com.

Janice Kobow studied fine arts at the University of South. Dakota.. She has enjoyed being a member of YAA for 14 yrs. She takes an impressionistic approach to realistic scenes in water colors.  She likes painting real objects that can convey a mood or feeling to the viewer.

Linda  Roggenburg has been painting her entire life.  It is truly a calling that takes her to a timeless place of creativity, with no limits or expectations.  She also earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon, to create in another medium (buildings).  Both activities have brought her success and satisfaction on both coasts, but have never stopped her from seeking the new experience by experimenting with techniques and materials.  Her favorite studio is by the water, painting in many seaports as an art instructor on cruise ships. She teaches locally, on occasion, at the Yaquina Art Association.
