Artisan Spotlight Show Features Diana Perez-Moya

YAA Spotlight

Diana Perez- Moya grew up in Bogota, Colombia and moved to Oregon in 1999 bringing with her the strong and explosive colors of the tropic.  She has a pedestal spotlight show from June 18-July 1 in the YAA gallery at 789 NW Beach Drive in Newport, Oregon.

When she was 13 she discovered her love for color and art while taking oil classes with the well known Spanish painter Pepe Garcia.  She studied different art mediums at the Universidad de los Andes, Casa Fabricato and Arturo Tejada Cano School in Bogota.  Soon after arriving in Newport she continued her learning path by taking ceramic classes with ceramic artist Janet Wallace and drawing classes at YAA.  She is interested in upcycling and giving old things a new purpose as you will see in her collages and oyster painted shells.  Her work will include oils, acrylics, glossies and collages.  The gallery is open from 11 am to 5 pm daily.
