Two week spotlight show featuring art from Christian Flores-Munoz and the watercolor class

YAA Spotlight

There will be a two week spotlight show at the Yaquina Art Association Gallery in Nye Beach from Dec. 28th through Jan. 10, 2014.  The show featuring art from Christian Flores-Munoz and the watercolor class is open daily from 11 am to 4 pm.

Christian Flores-Munoz is from Guadalajara, Mexico.  He moved to Newport in 1999 and has been taking photographs since 2010.  His favorite subject to photograph is landscapes and the Oregon Coast is the perfect place for it. He has traveled parts of the Oregon Coast and Washington State with other local photographers. He is also gaining more experience with portraits. Christian has a website at christianfloresmunoz.zenfolio.com.  Christian was involved for the second year with the Help Portraits that were given as a service to the community in December.

The Watercolor class meets on Monday mornings from 9-11 am in the upstairs classroom of the Visual Art Center off the Nye Beach turnaround.  They encourage new members or visitors.  The artists volunteer to take turns teaching the class.  There are 13 regular members that take turns teaching.  Drop ins are welcome and the class has a few supplies available to loan.
