February is the All Member Yaquina Art Association Show

Yaquina Art Association (YAA) presents its annual all member show in the Visual Art Center Runyan Gallery Feb. 3 through Feb.26. Each artist is invited to show one fine art piece in many mediums including watercolors, photography, pastels,oils, acrylics, etc. as well as some fine craft items. This event gives the public a chance to see the variety af art the members do. February is YAA’s annual fundraiser for its scholarship program held the last weekend in Feb. on Feb. 24th to 26th, 10a.m. to 5p.m. coinciding with the Seafood and Wine Festival.  There will be a children’s hands on crafts project with melted crayon, making an interesting artistic effect an paper. There will be demonstrations by the artists, food and lots of arts and crafts for sale with proceeds going to further the arts by providing scholarships to kids’ art programs, a college artist and to members in Lincoln County.  YAA offers free classes four days each week to anyone wishing to learn or improve their artistic talent.

The Runyan Gallery is open from 11 am to 5 pm Tues. through Saturday. New memberships are available to members in the County. You can stop by the Yaquina Art Association Gallery next door to the VAC and pick up a membership form. YAA offers the community a place to meet and learn from other artists as well as selling art work in our own gallery in beautiful Nye Beach overlooking the best view in town. Fulfill your artistic New Year’s wish by becoming a member of Yaquina Art Association.

YAA started in 1947. Forward thinking artists made their main goal to share art skills with the community, the local elementary schools and the Senior Center. Working with the city since 1952, YAA now has free classes four days each week at the Visual Art Center. See what YAA
