Gene Blackburn – Yaquina Art Association Artist Showcase – August 1st-14th 2026.
Yaquina Art Association Artist Showcase, Gene Blackburn: I have been a resident artist in Lincoln County for the last five years and a member of the association for two years. I paint primarily acrylic on canvas and build my own custom frames. I find inspiration in the local landscape of the ocean and lighthouses. Additionally, I have been commissioned to paint fantasy paintings of dragons as well as for novel covers.
I feel at home with the Yaquina Art Association which is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. It is run by local volunteer artists and is open 11:00AM-5:00PM seven days a week where they support the arts and offer free art classes. I welcome you to come and visit the gallery where my art will be showcased August 1st-14th 2026.
