The 40th Yaquina Art Association Photographers Annual Show March 30 – April 26

Plan to view the 40th Yaquina Art Association Photographers (YAAP) annual exhibit now open! Twenty one (21) skilled members are participating in this month long event. All live in Lincoln County yet their subjects vary widely.

Many are acclaimed and award winning photographers. There is no cost to visit the exhibit at the Yaquina Art Gallery at the end of Nye Beach turnaround in Newport. The show continues daily rain or shine from 11 am to 4 pm through Friday, April 26, 2024.

Participating in the show are the works of Andree Devine, Beverly Peterson, Dave Cook, Deborah Marsh, Debora Veronneau, Evelyn Sterud, Graece Gabriel, George Meyer, Herb Kateley, Ilene Samowitz, John Culp, John Lavrakas, Josephine Allen, Kim Cuc Tran, Mark Svendsen, Michael Carr, Sheila Ping, Sylvia A. Hosie, Ted Crego, Wallace Kaufman, and Walter Duvall.

YAAP mission is “To encourage and help members to share, teach, learn, and grow as photographers.” The club offers the fellowship of photographers, promotes education, personal growth, and the enjoyment of photography.

YAAP is associated with the Yaquina Art Association and the Columbia Council of Camera Clubs.

YAAP meetings are held every first and third Mondays of the month at 7PM.

The first meeting usually is an educational program related to photography.

The second meeting usually is dedicated to competition and critique. We have been meeting on Zoom since the pandemic.  We occasionally meet in person for special programs/ events at OSU Extension Office. For more info, visit our website @ www.yaaphotographers.org
