Her Spotlight show will feature her acrylic, oil, and mixed media paintings.

Mark Adcock was raised in Kansas City, Missouri and attended Northwest Missouri State University and graduate school at California State University, Fullerton. His painting began in earnest following his retirement after 40 years of public service as a police officer and city manager.

A member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon, Mark’s paintings have been included in juried art shows on the Oregon Coast and are shown in several restaurants and galleries on the Oregon Coast, as well as commissioned paintings in private collections on both coasts and the midwest.

Mark, wife Robin and basset hound Deuce reside in Waldport where Mark enjoys the beauty of the Oregon Coast as subject for many of his paintings. Mark’s most significant influences in watercolor painting include renown Oregon Coast artist, John Bradley, as well as world acclaimed English watercolorists, Ron Ranson, Edward Wesson and Edward Seago.

Mary Young has been creating fused glass art for ten years. The constant surprises, playing with color, and making happy things are the best part of glass projects. The interest in glass started with her Father, who bought a glass kiln to experiment with. It just took off from there: exploring, trying new techniques, experimenting with patterns and color, and just playing around.

Mary has lived in Newport for eleven years. She grew up in Seattle, WA and lived in Portland, OR before moving to the beautiful Oregon Coast. She has been a member of the Yaquina Art Association since 2007. Right now she is currently serves as an officer on the Board of Directors.

Under the name Whimsy Art Glass, Mary sells her glass work in the Newport Farmer’s Market, the Lincoln City Farmer’s Market, and the Itinerant Artist’s Marketplace in Lincoln City.
