Sherilyn Medin – “Since early childhood I have found inspiration, comfort and creativity in nature; I’m driven by its depth of color and texture… be inspired and believe!” Watercolor, Pastels & Pen & Ink. Have been teaching a Wednesday watercolor class at the 50+ center in Newport Oregon.
Michael Carr has been a photographer since 1980. His work is centered around the Western states. He has been published hundreds of times in various newspapers and magazines. He has won numerous awards from the national level on down. Michael got his start as a photojournalist, from there he moved towards his passion which is outdoor photography. While getting his degree in photography he also studied wildlife biology as a way to better understand his subjects. Michael has photographed wildlife from Florida to Alaska. His work is in many galleries and shops throughout the country, and he has sold to people all over the world. His wife Mary has become more involved in the photography business the last couple of years since his strokes. Michael grew up in Libby, Montana, where he developed his love of the outdoors. He currently resides on the Oregon coast with his wife Mary.
The Yaquina Art Association Gallery a 501c3 is located in Nye Beach at 789 NW Beach Drive. Hours of operation are 11 am to 4 pm every day.
