June Ambrosek is a twenty year resident of Yachats on the beautiful Oregon coast. With its ever changing Pacific Ocean, awesome beaches, wooded hillsides and abundant wildlife she is inspired as an artist to capture the beauty of her surroundings. She has worked in Oils, Pastels, and watercolors. She has also worked with clay and occasionally turns her hand to Wood Carving. Of all these her preferred medium is watercolor.

A former member of the Junction City Art Association, she now is a member of the Yaquina Art Association and of the the Yachats Art Guild. This has been an invaluable part of her art education. She has also taken numerous classes at Lane Community College although she began art in first grade. Her teacher thought she showed such promise back then that the teacher saved several of her early paintings and presented them to her at her graduation. Her latest work has been shown at the YAA gallery in Newport Oregon and at several business location on the Oregon Coast. Sketching and painting are her best form of relaxation. She regards art as the best way to express her inner feelings. June has previously worked as an elementary teacher, an entrepreneur in business, a teaching assistant and often, you can find her in the jewelry department at Walmart.

Marianne St Marie is an avid pet lover and it shows in her paintings. Brightly colored animal paintings depict the animal’s personality in which her works are more impressionist than realist. The show will feature original paintings of dogs, some of which have never been shown before. Primarily working with the “dogs” in watercolors, Marianne also works with mixed media projects of underwater sea life which can be seen at The Edge Gallery in South Beach and Ocean Beaches Glass Gallery in Seal Rock, both located on Pacific Coast Highway 101. Her prints and cards are available at Wind Drift Gallery on the old historic bayfront. Marianne’s work was recently accepted into the Gumbo Gallery in Portland and at Art Talks in Shelton, Washington.

Marianne encourages everyone to “ADOPT” not “SHOP” for their next furry family member!
