Paintings by the Local artists and students from the Pastel Class will be on display in a  special “Spotlight Show, October 16 thru 30th at the Yaquina Art Association Gallery in Newport. This gallery is located at 777 NW Beach St. (beside the turn-around at Nye Beach). Gallery hours are from 11 to 5 pm daily.

These informal pastel classes are held weekly on Thursdays from 10-12 noon. Students have a wide range of art experience (from beginner to professional artist). There is no age limit. Come prepared to …”have fun and tap into your inner creative child.”

Pastel Classes are just one of the many ongoing free classes provided by the Yaquina Art Association and held at the Visual Arts Center in Newport. The Yaquina Art Association is a local non-profit organization made up of residents from Lincoln County. They donate their services to promote art throughout the local community and educational school system in Lincoln County.
