YAA All Member Show at Visual Arts Center

Exhibition

Yaquina Art Association (YAA) presents its annual all member show from Wed. March 5th to Thurs. March 27th in the Runyan Gallery at the Newport Visual Art Center located at 777 NW Beach Dr in the Nye Beach Turnaround in Newport, OR.  An opening reception with refreshments will be held on Fri. March 7th from 5- 7 pm with a chance to meet the local artists. Gallery hours are from 11 am to 5 pm with the gallery closed on Mondays.

With over a hundred and thirty members in the Yaquina Art Association and every person invited to bring in one piece of artwork to display during the month of March, this should be an impressive collection of local art to view. Visitors to the gallery will have the opportunity to buy off the wall as well as to vote for your favorite artwork.  Art will range from watercolors, photography, pastels, oils, acrylics, colored pencils, clay, woodwork, and more.

Following the YAA all member show, there will be a fundraiser Arts and Crafts Sale beginning March 28 thru Sunday March 30 from 10 am. to 5 pm at the Visual Art Center.  There will be demonstrations by member artists, food and lots of framed and unframed art and crafts sold, with proceeds going to further the arts by providing scholarships to kids art programs as well as a college artist and to members in Lincoln County.  There will be a melted crayon make and take project for the young (and young at heart). Food that will be available for purchase in the upstairs classroom will include hotdogs, chili, chips, potato salad, homemade pies, cookies, brownies and coffee.YAA offers free classes to anyone wishing to learn or improve their artistic talent.
