Learn how to reveal the beauty of marine algae. The process is just like pressing flowers, only wetter.
See Eileen’s bin and note cards at the YAA gallery for examples.
Eileen will bring seaweed and supplies for everyone to do several pressings. We’ll need more of the following, if you can bring them:
- 9” x 13” very clean cake pans
- a pitcher or two for refilling pans with tap water
- a heavy book for your own use as a weightt
- paper towels, 8-1/2” x 11” pieces of corrrugated cardboard, and 60# paper or cards if you think you might do a lot of pressing
Bring a bag lunch for afterwards if you wish. If you would like to help gather seaweed earlier that morning, call Eileen.
