Our primary purpose shall be to teach and further the pursuit and appreciation of the visual arts and crafts in every possible way,
and to exhibit and provide an outlet for the benefit of the association and membership, as well as the community,
and not for the benefit of any individual.


Here our some of the ways we are involved in community art.
We offer FREE classes taught by our members every week.
We are very involved with art grade school age students both in the school and the community.
We offer scholarships to College students, Elementary students & Members for their education and knowledge.


College level: Oregon State University (OSU) One $1500.00 each year to a Junior or Senior majoring in art.
YAA Members: We pay for a workshop or class if the artist will teach what they learned in our free classes.
Elementary Students: We offer a classes 1 or 2 times a year in the classrooms taught by our members in many different subjects.
PHOTOSThis out reach is our biggest reaching over 300 students.
We also offer a free after school art class once a month to about 75 students.
There is also a scholarship for elementary students attending the public schools in Newport, Oregon.
It can be used to help pay for any art class offered in our community.
