Would you like to join?

 Any Lincoln County resident is invited to join the Yaquina Art Association (YAA), the oldest arts organization on the coast, supporting the arts for over 60 years!
Attend classes, exhibit your artwork in our own gallery, meet other area artists and be a part of our festivals held periodically throughout the year!

Membership Requirements:
You must be a resident of Lincoln County * Dues are $25.00 per year *

We have two types of members:

Active Members, they volunteer 25 hours each year in the Cloe-Niemela-Clark Gallery "C.N.C." and are allowed to sell their art.

Inactive members, that do not sell art but want the classes. (25 hours not required)


Dues may be paid in person or mailed to the above address.

Volunteer hours are completed by staffing at the Cloe-Niemela-Clark Gallery, or at our groups shows held at the Newport Visual Arts Center.
The Cloe-Niemela-Clark Gallery is open daily from 11:00 am to 4:00 every day 365 days a year

Active Membership Benefits:

*Active members may exhibit their artwork in our group shows.

*Active Members are entitled to exhibit one painting per show. Shows change monthly first Monday of the month.

*Active members may display their crafts for sale in the craft section of the Cloe-Niemela-Clark Gallery.

* Active members as featured artists– All are entitled to be a featured artist with a solo display of their artwork in the
Cloe-Niemela-Clark Gallery after having been a member for one year and having completed the required volunteer service.

FREE to everyone attendance at all classes taught by Yaquina Art Association instructors.

Classes are held in the upstairs classroom of the wonderful Newport Visual Arts Center.
We also ask if you drink coffee, you donate 25 cents into the coffee jar to keep the pot perking!
What a Bargain! Please feel free to drop in during one of the classes to get acquainted…..and join.

CLASS SCHEDULE:

Monday: 9:00 am – 11:00 pm Watercolor

7:30 pm – 9:30 pm Yaquina Art Association Photographers 1st and 3rd. Mondays

Tuesday: 9:00 am – 11:00 am Oil/Acrylic Painting

12:30 pm – 3:00 pm China Painting & Handbuilding with clay

Wednesday: 9:00 am – 11:00 am Colored Pencil & Drawing

We are always adding & changing classes to suit the needs of our members.

Business meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month from 11:00 am to Noon in the Visual Arts Center classroom.
All members are encouraged to attend these important meetings, as this is when new information is dispersed, and many decisions are made!!

In December, we forego the meeting and instead, host our annual potluck Christmas Dinner at 6:00 pm.
